MORE INFORMATION: TEACHING + PARTICIPATORY PRACTICE

In parallel to her studio practice, Marianne works extensively within public sites, universities, museum and gallery settings. Since 1997, she has led collaborative projects, public and participatory arts workshops as well as lectured on fine art and contextual practices across media and themes. She is a Visiting Lecturer to Goldsmiths, University of London, and in addition works as a freelance artist, lecturer and educator to deliver workshops, research, public arts projects and events within the contexts of [institutional] sites and collections. The work includes ideas-generation for how to use institutions and collections as sites for creative and critical research, learning and practice, as well as the development and design of education methodologies and interpretation resources.

With a focus on the making of [new] meaning though the exchange of creative and critical skills, ideas and understandings, recent projects include public arts commissions to map particular sites; talks, insets and tutorials for artists, teachers, museum professionals and educators; as well as workshops and study days for students of all ages.
