SMALL WIDE VIEWS
SMALL WIDE VIEWS is a project in progress: an ongoing series of looped 'views', created entirely from photographic still images. It aims to test if photographic representation, movement and repetition, can be used to create a space/ place conducive to the (re)production of memory and experience.
Each loop is an individual work. Intended for looped projection, it can be presented on its own - to create endless views where none exists or to displace familiar views into unfamiliar locations - as well as divergently combined with other Views and works to create sequential or spatial screen projections, installations and [immersive] environments.
The project has been developed and collaboratively extended through Residency at Academic Film Center, Belgrade (2008) and with support from Knud Højgaards Fond, Denmark |
