THINGS NOT WORTH REPEATING - THE SURVEY is part of
an ongoing series of projects that examine the value
and effectiveness of repetition as a model for progression. The survey specifically
gathers examples of acts and actions that demonstrates when repetition
is futile. Through presentations and conversations, the project
considers the potential for establishing new ways of thinking and
doing simply by bringing attention to that which 'we
don't need do no more!'.
DONE DOING THAT? - INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE
Save others the bother of
having to learn for themselves by submitting an example
of something you have said or done - or been made to say
and do - repeatedly and, so far, without any useful results!

THE FIRST INTERIM REPORT and THE FUTURE
The first interim
status report, 'Repetition is Futile' (DVD), screens 14 initial
and affirmative responses to the survey. Initially collated for participation
in the Chisenhale Biennale 2007, the animated report has since been presented
at Istanbul Contemporary
Art Museum, Web Biennial of Art Online, October 2007 - February 2008 ( WATCH)
A second status report is scheduled for late 2008.
The final survey will
be presented through a printed publication of responses, including
essays on 'repetition', planned for 2009. In
the meantime, the project continues to be available for (performance) presentations,
screenings and events, as well as for potential collaborations - if
interested,
please contact to
discuss possibilities.
